‘Too Hot To Handle’ Is The New Dating Show Set To Cure Our ‘Love Is Blind’ Obsession
Netflix has really kept us going in recent months, with tons of feel good shows being added to bide us through lockdown. But the latest addition looks like the best of the bunch. Introducing Love On The Spectrum. If you think the name rings a bell, that’s because the dating show was actually originally released on ABC Australia last year. But now it’s on Netflix for us all to enjoy – and it’s giving us serious Undateables vibes. The show follows a group of young adults with autism as they try to find the love of their lives. And the teaser promises it’s going to be a real tear-jerker.
Nonetheless, given the abysmal success rate of modern-day reality romance programs, the prospect of finding long-lasting love on television can seem quite disheartening for most. But it isn’t all fauxmance and failure — and these couples are living proof. Below, all the couples who captured our hearts on national television and, better yet, are still going strong. Fast forward four years later and their relationship has only continued to blossom.
Love on the Spectrum is honest, emotional and at times a very funny look at love and relationships, and really it’s the Australian dating show.

You can forget boozy cocktail parties and drunken drama, instead episode one sees the guys served up platters of specimen cups and asked to produce their, urrrm, stuff , in a trailer on set to be sent off for fertility testing. The men are placed on a ‘baby daddy scorecard’ which hopeful mum-to-be Kristy Katzmann will assess each week.
However others welcomed the extreme new take on dating shows as some pointed out the contestants were all over 40 and knew what they were doing. So in a weird way, it actually like, calmed any fears I had about these men not being here for the right reasons.

Understandably, the show which is not yet set to air in Australia, has ruffled quite a few feathers, with some branding it “appalling” – despite Davis.

The four-part series from ABC is part dating show, part documentary tracing the journey of nine people with an autism spectrum disorder as they look for love, or are in love.
